Cancún is a coastal city on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It is a popular vacation spot on the Caribbean coast.

Peak season in Cancun tends to run from December to April. Prices in both airfare and hotel increase dramatically during these times, while dropping in the summer and early autumn months. Late June is especially hot, so come prepared or try the off season. Hurricanes can be a major threat in the summer and early autumn.

  • Buses:

It's very inexpensive (about U.S. $0.65 per trip) and convenient to get around Cancun by bus. Buses are frequent and come every few minutes.

Most buses travel up and down the hotel zone. Some are clearly marked "Walmart" and they travel a little farther than just the hotel zone. Not all buses are airconditioned.  Driver will make change if you use pesos

  • Taxis

Taxis in Cancun are easy to obtain no matter where you are.  They are lined up anywhere a tourist may be.
